What type of vanilla ice cream do you use for a root beer float?
I was trying to make a root beer float so i bought root beer and then i went to the frozen section where i encountered three different types of vanilla: French vanilla, vanilla bean and regular vanilla. Do you know which of the three is the traditional one used for a root beer float? Thank you

- Regular vanilla is the original the other two are just stronger in the vanilla taste. Use the regular because once you pour in the root beer that is the only flavor you will sense.
- I would use what ever you like. But usually you should use Regular Vanilla. Vanilla Bean tastes really good though! I am going to make me a root bear float now!
- I don't drink Root Beer Floats, but I LOVE Breyer's All Natural Vanilla. And I'm not even a huge fan of Vanilla flavour!
- regular vanilla is the best kind to use when making a rootbeer float! I usually old-fashion vanilla, though.
- regular
- Vanilla Bean is what I use for my root beer floats.
