Where is a good place in Pittsburgh to get a root beer float?

I really love root beer floats and can't find a good place to try one in the burgh! Help me out please!

  1. Dell's in Munhall (just 5 miles outside of downtown Pittsburgh)...at the top of the cemetary..lol Just off of main street - make a left hand turn off of main (between the two cemetaries) They have 'em.
  2. At home!! Go to the grocery store pick up a bottle of A&W root beer, container of Breyers vanilla ice cream. Freeze a couple of large glass mugs (in your freezer) Get the frosted mug, add 2 or 3 scoops ice cream, slowly pour root beer over the ice cream (keep adding more rootbeer when the foam goes down) Add spoon and straw, sit in front of the AC
  3. The Union Project has Root Beer Float nights! They're super tasty. I think it's every Tuesday night, and they cost $1.50. Delish! The Union Station Cafe also has sandwiches and salads, milkshakes, and coffee.
  4. Go to Sarris Candies in Canonsburg. They have a chocolate factory (yum) and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor attached. Everything there is top quality and has the best taste.
